Yes, but it was shortsided. The reason Nintendo is in the mess it's in is because they completely abandoned core gamers by taking all their core IP and using waggle/motion controls. It worked for awhile becasue casuals were eating it up but when they left, Nintendo was left searching for someone to by their stuff... no one did. I think what most people thought was that they'd learned their lesson. Cater to core gamers first... casuals last. |
Which is why the motion controls are an optional feature that aren't the primary control method.
