Will Western 3rd Party Games Ever Sell Well On Nintendo Platforms?

To the OP ....

No they probably won't ever again.

Nintendo was dumb enough to allow Sony and MS to gain a virtual monopoly on this audience, and they don't have the marketing acumen to now get said audience back as Sony/MS are too formidable for Nintendo to compete against in this area.

People associate all those IP with non-Nintendo platforms. Even with non-Western IP, I remember I have a buddy who liked Fatal Frame on the XBox, when I told him there was a new one coming out on the Wii he reacted like he was surprised such a game would be allowed on Wii. 

Nintendo's allowed their brand to become stigmatized and associated as a kids-only or certainly a kids-first brand which doesn't work for most 3rd party games (not unless you're LEGO or Just Dance).
