1) Honestly, I never heard anybody say something negative about the controls in Splatoon, either. I really don't know where he got that from. In fact, the only complains I remember where coming from shooter fans critisizing the lack of voice chat. But look at Splatoon now, 99% don't give a fuck about it because the game is build so it doesn't need one. And honestly, I prefer it that way by a mile. If I look at other communities, I can safely say that Nintendo made the right decision:
2) Then you critisize them milking it's franchise, but why don't you critisize all others as well? It's not like we get Last of Us 2 just because Naughty Dog wants to make their fans happy. All companies try to create long lasting franchises that can be exploited. But the way I see it, this may be just me, is that Nintendo doesn't exploit them just to make a quick a buck, but rather to test new ways of gaming. It's up to you to like that or not. You don't owe them anything and if you don't like their experiments, they are not forcing you to buy them. On the other hand, most other companies rehash all the same old stuff because they play it safe. They have much less innovation in their games. Nintendo knows that it could farm much more money in the short run, but their goal isn't quick cash. This is something that many gamers either don't know or refuse to accept. But you're a veteran, Max, you probably knew that. 3) Bye, happy gaming, best wishes. |
I hate the controls of Splatoon. The controls (or lack of options) is the reason to this day I do not own the game. If they offered pointer controls, I would have purchased it immediately.
