end of 2018. I'm not buying the idea that Nintendo will have only one device. I think they will release a smaller, cheaper version of the switch, it will still be able to plug into the TV but everything will be sold separately, no detachables joy cons either, but it will be compatible with all the Switch games and accessories.
And maybe a better battery.
But I don't think they ll release something that is clearly different of the switch, they need to have their devices unified.
But clearly, I can't imagine that the Switch, with its bulky, gamer look will be alone. Nintendo released 5 versions of the 3DS, so if they focuse on the Switch family only, you can expect even more and widely different iterations.
