I know I'm coming across as a miserable old grump, and I do apologize.

The point I was trying (not very effectively) to convey was not "all is lost" but more "let's not count our chickens before they hatch."

In less than 3 weeks we'll have a better idea of what we can expect, but in the mean time, setting one's sights too high can lead to disappointment.
