Mini dvd was never a real problem, only an excuse people nowadays use to justify the failure of a console that never should have failed, its kiddy design has way more to do with its failure than the mini dvds.

It still make porting games a bit harder, thanks to its smaller capacity. However I agree it's not the only problem.
