Yeah sure but then it would just be another XBox1/PS4 both of which share a lot of the same games. That's not terribly exciting for the industry in my opinion.

If people want the latest-and-greatest hardware, they should go PC.

Except it wouldn't be, because it has all of the Nintendo exclusives, experiences only available to that powerful Nintendo console, plus all the regular third party stuff (that brings in the casuals) running on par with PS4/XB1. I don't see how being inferior in terms of power makes it stand out, aside from maybe " wow, this game run so well on this weak console."
