Well, even though I totally knew better, I started to believe the 1 TF stuff. At least the Switch will be a fully portable Wii U level machine. That's cool. But as underclocked as it is, it should sell for no more than $199 with a game, $149 without a game.

I wonder will they ever come back and build a ground breaking home console. The Gamecube was their last console to do it.  

I think those days are over. 

Nintendo will continue to make portable centric hardware like Switch as long as there's a market for it, but basically this is a way for them to exit the console business while still being able to keep a few toes in the water. 

Nintendo's console division, aside from a tremendous 4 year stretch with the Wii's early/mid days, has been a trainwreck for the better part of 20 years. 

If you had told me 20 years ago as a big Nintendo fan with a brand new N64 that this is how the next 20 years would go for Nintendo consoles, I wouldn't believe you. 

Just can't run a division so incompetently and think it was going to run that way forever without major changes.
