Pretty much this. I sincerely doubt Nintendo will leave their OS to someone else. Besides Nintendo makes solid OSes for their hardware. That isn't the issue. Even Wii U had a decent OS in spite of the hardware. The real issue is that its a tablet. Thanks to the form factor there will be sacriices to OS efficiency and how much it uses when it is playing games. But if anyone can figure out a way to make it fly it'll be Nintendo.
