Yes NPD owns the rights to the numbers. And MS and co. pay to get accesss to those numbers on the grounds that they can't share the information. But that's put in place so Sony doesnt go announcing to the world what MS numbers are if MS doesmt want the world to know. 

What I don't know tho is why don't Sony share PS numbers. It's their own numbers and they have the right to disclose that information if they want. I mean, as bad as nintendo was getting it they still shared their monthly numbers. So what gives?

You however seem to think everytime I say anything like "sales" that it means NPD numbers. Why you think this I don't know, but I don't see 2) how its not obvious that's not what I was talking about.   1. this is an NPD thread. And you have cited me on multiple occasions where I said it would be good to see NPD numbers. Sowhat are you saying?
  2. that's BS. You talked about a lack of numbers. And specifically said Sony had been boasting with numbers for years and now are not. If you are talking about Global sales and not NPD then surely you are aware that two or three days ago Sony just announced GLOBAL numbers of 50M? How can you possibly say you aren't talking about NPD but global numbers and how Sony is not releasing them anymore when they clearly are and have? And when in my first reply to you I Pointed that very thing out? 
And yet I am the one trolling? Your argument is all over the place. you are constantly changing what you are saying. Now you are saying that in an NPD thread, and in reply to people talking about the lack of NPD numbers, you called Sony out for changing how they do things and not show numbers but you were referring to global numbers. which doesn't make sense cause Sony just released global numners days before the NPD......... smh. 

 

Based on the posts, to sum it up quick from my point of view,

All I see is you asking why PS won't share their NPD, and I replied with two reasons why that might be. You said you thought I was wrong because PS hasn't shown their PS4 NPD the entire gen. I just simply implied that doesn't mean what I said couldn't be right. Then you started going on about how apparently I was basically continually saying PS had shown their NPD, which I never did. I just gave a reason why they might not have. Thats it. The part about changing tone was about their comments mostly. If you don't want to believe that, thats fine, but thats what I meant. Tone as in talking, words. I acknowledged PS won, since I'm not against PS or any brand. I'm not sure why having an open mind is such a problem but thats where I stand. If this isn't good enough for you, for whatever reason, then we will just have to agree to disagree I guess.
