I always thought that Nintendo chose to go with the style of TP for their next Zelda due to the backlash that WW's "Toon Link" art style got from many fans. I really enjoyed WW despite the initial disappointment that the game didn't look like the Zelda teaser demo we saw when the GC was first unveiled, and a full fledged sequel with less boat travel / padding would be welcome, but we're getting something possibly even better in the open world WRPG style of Breath of the Wild.
