I never watched the show because I read the comics and got sick of it around issue 70/72.

The walking dead always was designed to never have an end, they just come up with stuff as they go along.

Aren't most comics designed that way, though?  Anyway, Kirkman says it has an ending (he could be full of shit, though). If TWD has an ending, I imagine those huge paychecks keep him from putting it on paper.
