Blu-Ray isn`t dead, but it also isn`t the DVD killer

Convenience and price trumps quality for the vast majority of consumers (up to a certain point anyway). Blu-rays are still more expensive than DVDs, and in western countries don't even get me started on streaming which is superior in those two regards to both.
