Nintendo has a habit of shorting shipments to create a false sense of scarcity and hype, the NES Classic isn't new in this area. Its a shitty practice, especially when paired with a product that is actually in high-demand. Nintendo seems to be unwilling to learn from this for some reason, they dealt with the same situation not too long ago with amiibo. You'd think actually having a product on shelves for people to buy would be a good thing, but Nintendo gonna Nintendo.
