If Bethesda commits to the next Elder Scrolls game on Switch, a brand new game, then I will be impressed.

The Wii U had COD, Assassin's Creed, FIFA, NBA 2K, Madden, and Batman in the launch window, that's like 6/8 or 9 top "hardcore IP" of the day (GTA, Skyrim were the two missing ones).

Is Switch even getting COD? Probably not Battlefield, because EA said only one game and that's almost assuredly FIFA. GTA? Switch will likely be missing several here too. 

We'll see but I think the only third party launch window game that's going to sell great is Minecraft (assuming this is there for launch) and Monster Hunter XX. Nintendo fans are going to do their usual thing and buy Mario 3D Switch and Splatoon and then sit around waiting for Zelda. 

You know, I've said this before and people like you never listen but I suppose I will say it one more dang time just for good measure:  the word of some pulbishers is worth much more than others.  EA and Ubi?  Absolutely, doubt them.  They will try anything once.  Same with Activision.  They will try any console once a bail at the first sign of trouble.  Bethesda, however, has historically stuck with it even when platforms give them trouble.  The PS3 gave them endless headaches and cost them goodness knows how much money to figure out how to patch and work with but they stuck with it.  They generally stick to their guns even if it takes them time to get it done.  Which is why I shrugged when EA, Ubi, Activision, and their ilk praised the Switch but sat up when Bethesda did.  Bethesda doesn't just try anything once, as pointed out in the OP, Bethesda has never supported Nintendo's hardware in an real or note worthy way, barring some cheapo efforts on the NES.  And we'll have to see what happens with Skyrim.  So far "SKYRIM ON THE GO!" has been one of the most commonly posted exciting things from the Switch trailer so it's entirely possible that those unimpressed by the graphics jump on PS4 *will* be intrigued by portability.  

What I find really hilarious is that you doubt Bethesda but have unwavering confidence that Capcom - freaking Capcom - will put in the effort to bring Monster Hunter XX to the Switch.  I will be shocked if we see a Monster Hunter on Switch before the end of 2018, much less launch.  They will ride the budget 3DS route for as long as humanly posible.
