This kinda reeks of an unpopular guy (Nintendo) who has no date to prom (Western third party "support") and desperately scans his Facebook for any girl that isn't entirely frosty to him (Ubi Soft).
He tells the girl (Ubi Soft) he really needs a date to prom, she says she'll do it, but he'll have to help her paint her house (we get to use the Mario IP for a crappy Rabbids game). He says ok, even though he's not terribly enthused about the prospect.
