The key here is that 3rd parties are really weary about releasing games on Nintendo systems, and they want to know which kind of games would sell well to avoid any kind of risk. Battleborn didnt seem to do well on any system. Why would Battleborn attract people who didnt buy it on their system of choice?

If they are going to make it FTP, maybe to try it on a platform that has not had that many experiences with online FTP.
