You say that, but if Mario Kart, Smash & Splatoon get superior "directors cut" ports onto the Switch then where does that leave the WiiU's Legacy? Even in hindsight it's becoming an irrevelevant machine. Of course there won't be as much hate flying at the thing, because as it won't be a current product people just won't care as much.

It's not that simple - pretty much everything good was ported from the dreamcast with superior versions, but it is anything but irrelevant in retro communities.
