And I get it, not EVERY game Nintendo has made has been hits. They're no different to every other company. They've had their share of duds like Ice Climber, Yoshi's Universal Gravitation, amiibo Festival, etc. This gen has not been the kindest to Nintendo. Its unfortunate, but what's done is done. I also don't mind fans being constructive as long as its not trolling, hating, or "I'm glad they deserve this" type of attitude.

If a bad game got bad sales, it is what it is as fans voted with their wallet. The same fans sometimes also vote with their wallets when low sales happen to even good games as I mentioned so its not always one way or another. Another example of a great game with low sales was Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE. It's been like that for every generation.

Also, it's Nintendo way of doing things. They're always shaking things in its most famous franchises, despite of the somewhat... unbelievable believe (he) that they're conservative. They've suceedes at times, but they've also failed. I appreciate that they try to do different things, even if the results are sometimes questionable. I think that the times they hit the right spot kind of compensate those times when they earned Nintendo's fandom anger. Not blaming the fandom since the criticisms are understandable most of the time. But I think that the same spirit which gives them the balls to make a game no-one asked in the fandom, with a not great outcome like Color Splash; is also the same that gave us games like Splatoon.

The thing that annoys me a bit about Nintendo is that the creative minds that made Splatoon, isnt known as the great IP maker anymore. No, theyre just the Splatoon team now. They will make Splatoon and nothing else.
