Unfriending due to Political Differences

I choose who I want to be friends with. I don't mind political differences, but if it turns out that one of my friends is a real idiot (which could well be reflected in their political views), I'm not sure I really want to know them anymore. So while technically I guess I wouldn't unfriend anyone due to polital differences, political differences could still be the trigger for unfriending someone.
