I think they plan to sprinkle them around as supplemental things.  Too many new games too close together saturates things too much so I think they'll have the ports in slots where it would be too soon for a new game but still a kind of droubt.  Or they could make them just a one time collection of supplememts to the launch lineup.  

Releasing them as filler in between new releases would be fine, I just hope they don't think that old content is a substitute for actual new games. If people didn't buy a Wii U for MK8/Splatoon, they're not gonna buy a Switch for one. The system will need new killer apps of its own.
