They aren't simple ports though. Depending on the extent of the enhancements and pricing I could easily see them bringing people over when coupled with plenty of new experiences of course.

Nintendo loves to port old stuff to new systems.  So, I'm sure they'll do a bunch of it.  Also, considering the poor sales of Wii U, there will likely be many Switch owners that didn't play the original versions.  That's not going to make the 15MM Wii U owners rush out to buy the Switch though, and Nintendo needs every early system sale they can get.  If this thing doesn't do well in the first 12-18 months, its all over for Nintendo in the hardware business.
