It's worth noting that while the combined userbase of 3DS and Wii U may currently represent about 73 million systems, it doesn't represent 73 million actual consumers, as a lot of Wii U owners are also 3DS owners, and a lot of 3DS owners will own more than one model.
So even if everyone who bought an 8th gen Nintendo system buys a Switch, that's still probably quite a bit less than 70 million. And that's before you factor in that, inevitably, some Wii U/3DS owners will not get a Switch.
I don't mean to rain on everyone's parade, I'm just suggesting a little caution for the moment. Remember, a lot of people predicted Wii U would sell over 70 million. Let's not get carried away before we even know its price and software.
