If it's enough power to boost the games from 720p to 1080p, I wouldn't say that's a lot of power, and I do think Nintendo could see that being worth it. 1080p is a marketable buzz word.

I'm not sure you realize how big of a leap it is to go from 720p to 1080p. 1080p has 2.25 times as many pixels as 720p. It requires a considerable amount of extra power, and would probably cost more than Nintendo wants.
