That laptop is "a lightweight 2.3kg". How much do you think the Switch will weight? It also has a battery runtime of less than 1 hour when gaming with maximum brightness: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-ROG-Strix-GL502VS-Notebook-Review.171567.0.html It also heats up to 47 °C (116.6 °F) on the outside when playing 3D games... that's far too hot for a handheld device. |

So... 2.3 kg, 1 hour battery time, heats up to 47°C, and.... 1400 euros for the cheapest version on Amazon. Thanks for explaining so clearly why this isn't possible with the Switch ;) |
Thank you for missing the point... am I even comparing the Switch to this laptop???
Don Ferrai was implying that you couldn't do PS4S/X1S kind of perf with a smaller casing, I just pointed out you can do way better perf with big screen & added stuff for way smaller than a PS4S/X1S size factor, I'm aware it's expensive, but that was not the point.
Do I believe you can do X1 perf with a Switch size factor??? I would be very, very impressed if Nvidia could pull it of, that is why I speak of black magic if they can achieve this. Read what I'm writing, don't cherry pick parts of sentences & distort them out of context, thank you!!!

It's not like the PS4S/X1S are the smallest devices for their power, I get what you say though, that is why I say that to have X1 kind of performance in a Switch Nvidia would need to do some black magic, but you never know, tech is always & ever evolving, we're speaking of 3 year old tech that wasn't even cutting edge when it was released 3 years ago, I hope you get my point as I do get yours ;)
