yes, but something like the ipad/iphone relation.
The switch being the ipad, and the 3DS's successor being the iphone.
Shared OS, shared library of games etc. A mini switch if you will.
Why? Because NINTENDO NEEDS A SUCCESSOR TO THE 3DS. Here are the reasons :
-Switch is too big, they need a smaller handheld, something that can fit easily in your pocket.
-Switch is too expensive to sell as much as the 3DS, they need a cheaper version
-Switch is not protected enough , you can't close it like the 3DS/DS. The Switch is not Kid proof
It's fine if it is not as powerful as a One and PS4, Nintendo doesn't need to be in this market, but if the 3DS doesn't have a successor, there is going to be a huge gap in the handheld market that the Switch can't fill because it wasn't designed to.
They need a Switch mini
