Honestly man, you should at least try it.... They say that you can play as much stealth in the game as you want, so playing in 3rd person or 1st person is possible (though I don't know if it for the whole of the game or segments of it)...

 

You owe it to your PS3 :p

Just buy it and add to the sales! Thats all im bothered about...

My brother is getting it, so there will be a copy of MGS 4 in the house, but I just doubt I will get around to playing it
