We're just too used to old paradigms of Sony and MS being "enemies", but if you're not even really fighting for the same audience anymore, how are you "enemies"? Nintendo likely could score one whopper of a deal too, I bet MS would open up the cheque book and offer a huge pay day for a deal with Nintendo on top of marketing support as well. 

you walk into any 'trendy' young peoples store, like a Hot Topic or whatever, and guess what you see? Nintendo crap everywhere. Pokemon , Zelda, Mario, Metroid.

Nintendo is extremely prevalent with young people. As soon as Nintendo starts selling out to giants like Microsoft would be the end of their success. Until you can actually name some big advantages of Nintendo cutting any deals I would scrap these predictions.

I don't honestly think that YOU think that the Switch isn't a competitor to Xone/PS4. there are literally 3 main home console developers on the market, that's too few for them not to be in direct contention automatically with one another.

there's an argument that the 3DS sales don't effect the Xone sales- sure- but to say the same about a hybrid system? no.

Actually I think that is a fair arguement. I don't think Switch will have any bearing on the XBox Scorpio/PS5 whatsoever. 

Anymore than Playstation TV impacted Xbox One. Completely different products at different spectrums of the market.

I think there's plenty of PS/XB owners who COULD be persuaded to buy a Nintendo Switch as a complimentary device though. It's not as if you can throw your PS4/XB into your back pack and play it on a plane. So why not go after those people. 

Also is it "desperate" if MS or Sony support the Switch as well? It doesn't have to be a one-way street. I'm sure there are a lot of Nintendo fans that wouldn't mind a Minecraft x Nintendo game or a Halo or Uncharted game. Why not Sony or MS? It's not like you're making a portable console.
