Its not a generational leap. Its abandonment of the Home Console environment. Yes this thing can be put in the taco shell base and be played on the TV, but it isn't a home console. It would be like saying PSP was a home console. Nintendo most likely could have easily put all of this into a base unit without a screen, battery, and janky controller and sold it for $199-249.
