Why NSwitch's dock hides the tablet when docked

I don't know if there's a 'correct' reason, but I have two minor ideas anyway: First, to shield the tablet from potential damage. It doesn't hurt to be careful. Second, to not have the tablet reflect light when you're trying to look at your TV. A screen can be quite reflective even when off.
