I doubt it. If the rumors are correct and they are training for marketing already it means they are still planning on releasing the console in the next several months.

So marketers wouldn't also need the info on NX in case of preorder questions by interested consumers?... This training isn't solely useful for a machine that is only out. It can be useful for an upcoming machine too.

Going on what usually happens pre-orders for new systems don't start until several months before release. The only time this isn't done is when they have manufacturing issues and have to push it back. And digitimes whould be all over that since their sources come from the supply side of the industry. So from what is still know, from the rumor, Nintendo is still grearing up for an early year release.

Usually for a normal end of the year release the marketing infomation is usually past on to the representives of the big retail chains at the E3 before the launch, since they gather there for the event, they usually avoid creating their own event and paying for the reps to come. This is done this way also because most retail chains only want to concentrate on what is coming out in the short term because that is where their money and resources are going for, so if its not going to be in their stores in a few months they don't need to train for it.
