Well it provides insight into Nintendo's thought process and people who think Iwata did his own thing away from Yamauchi are wrong, Iwata's said many times, Yamauchi's insistence of being different drove the design process, and NX was designed largely under Iwata.

Beyond that we don't have a single credible mainstream source that's actually been right in the past about something saying AMD Wunderconsole Nintendo. All sources that have a proven track record are saying Nvidia Tegra based hybrd with detachable controllers.

Nintendo's thought process back then also included never considering mobile but guess how that stands today, your main source for Tegra is a website that were flat out wrong before with the same rumour involving the 3DS so don't tell me about credible sources.

No the sources are Semi Accurate, Eurogamer, LPVG, Wall Street Journal, and IGN/Peer Schnedier. Peer in particular I take his word for because I've been following Nintendo online since 1996, and he's been covering Nintendo online since then. He knows his shit and he said they verified the hybrid thing with multiple sources.

Nintendo is on record as recently as a year ago saying hardware power doesn't matter either, they wouldn't be saying that if they were making some decently high end piece of kit.
