Nintendo NX rumor: Twice the power of a PS4?

3rd party devs wouldn't be excited for a 720p tablet with removable controller pieces. Especially if that tablet is a fraction of the power of the Xbox One. Handheld power is going to be important compared to back then. Phones will already outclass whatever NX is if it is a 720p tablet. And even if it doesn't, the phones will outclass it in a year or two.

So how do you explain the Wii U and 3DS? Both of those were severely underpowered compared to their direct competition and Nintendo could not possibly have cared less. What makes you think Nintendo is making something like their version of the PS4?
