Would like me to throw out the reps name, 3ds friend code and rep ID? even if i attached a picture of an email comfirmation of such event, there's still no way for anyone to validate the email, pic,  rep, etc.  so i guess by defintion it's a rumor, but in nature it is not.

If my rep said "hey nintendo is having a training for some reps in washington" then it could be a rumor because of speculation.

since my rep said "I and all the other reps are scheduled for a training in washington" then it's lost its nature of being a rumor.

haha I'm a trust worthy person also, so that trumps source.
