Well duh, because we "hard core" gamers should condemn and curse EA for committing themselves to take the time and effort to make a game fun for kids and families. If it's without violence, the game should never see the day of light.

Boom Blox is bullshit? EA or Steven Spielberg decided to make a high quality game for the mainstream people, who is used to constant shovelware thrown at them from greedy publishers trying to make quick buck and somehow, it's bullshit. Boom Blox isn't just meant for children, you know but for everybody (including core gamers). Sorry, but saying a quality game deserves to bomb because you think it's meant for children just smacks of ignorance. Oh yes, with time, they can buy all of those games you mentioned. It isn't a simple matter being able to only buy one game.
