There already is a system called this though, from Nintendo , Sega and Namco, it is the arcade board which runs games like F-Zero AX and Mario Kart Double Dash/Arcade edition.

It was indeed a fantastic name for a system though, but considering that the name was owned jointly by Sega and Namco I doubt Nintendo would revisit it as a hardware name.
(also was this thread or similar already on VGchartz, sorry I don't check into all the NX threads, sorry if it was yours before!)
