Watched the video, don't think I've ever seen a worse like to dislike ratio on any video.

I get the idea, YouTube went from anarchy a decade ago to trying to balance control on a site that has thousands of new videos every minute. The issue with this idea of delegating duties is it puts enormous trust in people not to abuse the system and could actually add to YouTube's workload trying to resolve disputes.

Many channels already discuss how videos have been pulled or demonetized or had revenue stolen due to abusive practices. I'm really not sure what the answer is here, but I do wish YouTube had a major competitor or two to try different models for the market to respond. Part of why this is a problem stems from YouTube's monopoly.

Alternate revenue streams are available, namely for the gaming community that has options such as twitch, but the reach of youtube is unmatchable and most likely will remain that way.

I think the key for content creator will become sources like Patreon/Sponsorship over Youtube advertisement revenue. This method actually allows for more freedom for the content creator, but the content creator would need to establish a relationship with the audience.
