Yes plenty of small movies or movies in a totally different category got released after SS. Like I said, nothing which hurts the legs of this "Blockbuster" movie.

But who knows, maybe it was the word of mouth which helped it. Because we all know word of mouth is so great for it...

It's been pretty divisive but it showed better legs than Civil War. I mean it grossed just as much as CW in Australia. It wouldn't have if people didn't like it.

I wonder how it would do if  X-Men would have released in SS's I believe fourth week. You know, same category and stuff, pretty much what I'm talking about all the time. SS's competition are small movies or something like Sully which has a completely different audience. Heck, even Turtles could have hurt the legs more as anything which released the last 7 weeks (which Captain America also run against but sure, that's only a smaller problem compared to X-Men).

Also not sure how Don't Breathe didn't have so good legs in your opinion. When I check the percentual losses per week or weekend then it looks pretty decent for Don't Breathe compared to SS.

Sure, it does less compared to SS every single week compared to SS at the same time but that has nothing to do with Don't Breathe's legs and more because it is simply a much smaller movie made for a much smaller audience.

Don't get me wrong, I think SS did ok for what it is but I don't find the legs really impressive considering the circumstances. Maybe in a few markets but not as a whole.
