Exactly what can your console do when its plugged into a TV that makes it so much easier then using Steams Big Picture mode when plugged into a TV?.

Unlike consoles a PC can give "The Best of both worlds" the is no pretending here. if you dont like any of the console exclusives and If you have a good enough PC for both work and playing games why would you need a console too?.
