1. They did just publish Metroid Prime: Federation Force.

2. We have no idea what Retro is working on.  No reason it can't be a Metroid title.

1. Federation Force is not a traditional Metroid unlike AM2R.

 

2. That can play on both sides, so nothing is oficially announced. Therefore, no new Metroid in the making.
