Meh, Nvidia can give Nintendo anything AMD can, on the mobile side especially AMD can't compete with Nvidia's Tegra line. Nintendo doesn't want to make a super-powerful console I don't think. It would be difficult to have compatibility between games, the best mobile processor is probably the Tegra X2, the ratio in power difference would simply be too large. |
But that has nothing to do with what I was talking about.
If that rumor were true, nowadays Nintendo could compete face to face with both Sony and MSoft on the home console market (and without a PS4/X1 to hold back projects to really make use of the extra power of the new Pro/Scorpio) plus a handheld with no competition besides mobile gaming.
That's not the path Nintendo decided to go, sadly, and it will be one of those cases where we can only agree that it's a missed oportunity from Nintendo.
Please excuse my bad English.
