I would say the PS4 Pro and PS4 was positioned in terms of power/price relative to the PC fairly equally, well GPU wise anyway.
If you still want the PC experience (I.E. Multi-monitor, 5k resolutions etc') then PC is of course still the only place you can get that.
When the PS4 launched you had the Radeon 7870, 7950, 7970 and the Radeon 290 and 290X on the market.

When the PS4 pro launched you had the 390/390X/Fury/Fury X that was pushing past it.
That ignores all the Multi-GPU cards and configurations though which muddy's things up, we can't really count Vega either as that wasn't on the market before the consoles dropped.

But the Sony exec does have a point, Mid and end cycle of a console generation... They recognized how the PC platform grows during various points in the consoles life-cycle (I.E. During the mid/end of the generation.) and they are trying to mitigate that to a degree.
Competition *is* a good thing, it's good that console manufacturers are recognizing the PC more and leveraging that platform with more multiplatform games or increasing the visual bar or adding incentives. (Like remote play)

Finally a comment from a PC enthusiast that doesn't react to all this as if it was an attack to PC gaming.

Sorry Chazore. =P

In this forum, it's difficult to sift through the "attacks" and the "musings".

On one hand, you have people asking questions or trying to make legitimate points without detracting from the other side.

And on the other, you have hateful people who do nothing but try to take away from other platforms using trollbait and lies.

Pemalite has a refreshing take, as he addresses everything with calm, objective rationale. He may be a PC gamer and proud of it, but that doesn't mean that the PS4 or XB1 suck to him. Most others on the forum automatically take up a defensive stance: myself included.
