Yes, zippy. A game that didn't enter full force development until it was clear that the Wii U was a failure and shows drastic changes compared to its predecessors counts as a glimpse of the future. You can bet your butt that Aonuma doesn't like making an open world Zelda because that has severe influences on how the story can be told and how puzzles can be implemented. But while Aonuma doesn't like it, consumers sure seem to look forward to all the changes.

If none of the above convinces you, you still have to admit that an actual game counts for more than fears for an imaginary future.

A game that was shown in playable form on current gen hardware because the next gen port wasn't complete.I hate disagreeing with one of my fave vg charts posters, but BOTW is first and foremost a Wii U game
