Sorry, but a game about captain olimar collecting pikmins to defeat enemies and solve puzzles is not that far from the concept of the original game, you are treating this game as if was Pikmin Federation Force, and it definitely isn't, it could be bad or good, but is not as disconected from the franchise, even the artstyle is identic, just in 2D.

Except everything shown of this so far indicates a simplistic sidescroller without the exploration or complexity of the series.
