Splatoo gets patch notes, Pokken gets pot bonuses in major tournaments, it's like Nintendo doesn't want to promote competitive Smash 100%.

I was thinking about this too. Nintendo helps Pokken and Splatoon competitive scenes a lot, while ignoring, albeit not completely, the Smash scene.

My theories are they feel Smash doesnt need their help (Melee already made it huge), or PM was a real offense to them.
