Yea but with the play store, they can have millions of apps and games right from the start. It will make the device a lot more compeling to a lot more people. They also won't have to worry about devs not supporting the NX cause if the devs make a game for the play store, it will work for NX. I doubt mobile companies have very much interest on Nintendo/PSN platforms but this will guarantee the support.

If my kid wants a device with candy crush and blah device doesn't have it, I wouldn't buy it if I was a casual parent. If they want to go after the mobile crowd, they have to go in full force and not half ass it. We have seen how important apps are to a ecosystem.

My guess is Nintendo will probably control a flow of Android apps so as to not overflood things and give their full price games a bit more of a chance.

Still it should be easy enough to allow the top 30 gaming apps and the top 30 social media/functionality apps.
