Asking price on Nintendo would probably start in the $40 billion range, largest thing Sony has ever bought was I think Columbia Pictures for $3.4 billion back in the 80s when they had a lot more money. 

Plus that Microsoft has a bigger motivation,   the coveted success in Japan, in  a big market where they don't exist...

At a $35-40 billion sticker price, even MS probably shies away. I don't think MS gives *that* much of a fuck about the video game business to invest that much money. 

The only companies I could see ponying up the price for Nintendo would be Apple or Google in the event that there becomes some kind of content bidding war in which Nintendo could help them sell a lot more phones.
