I think it's fairly obvious that the NX is not a conventional "portable". It won't fit in your pocket and it won't be super cheap.
For people who want those attributes, Nintendo is keeping the 3DS around.
Maybe when 7nm manufacturing is a thing, Nvidia can make a pocket size version of the NX, but that's likely a long wait ... probably 2018 or 2019 until that is feasible.
So for people saying "b ... bu ... but NX can't be so big and it can't cost more than $200 because those are the rules" ... well here are the new rules. 3DS will accomodate the lower end of the market for a while longer.
