It happens. This is how I bought my first non-Nintendo system ever, in 1996 when they announced the N64 had been delayed again ... after waiting for the SNES CD-ROM for years and then that tured into wait for the Project: Reality (aka: Ultra 64, Nintendo 64), I was so pissed off that I went to the store and bought a Playstation with WipeOut and Resident Evil (just came out that week!).
Enjoy your XBox One S, there's some pretty awesome games on it. I still buy every Nintendo system, but I've learned to enjoy Sony and MS gaming devices, I would've lost my gaming sanity a long time ago if I pinned all my hopes on Nintendo.
