For Nintendo 720p display is quite good. It's better than the Vita display, and there's not much point in a display higher than that, the system would overheat in portable mode and/or kill the battery in an hour rendering at higher resolution than 720p, so like what's the point of a higher resolution display when the games won't be able to run at that resolution?
